Alvaston Park

UK»England»Derbyshire»Derby»Alvaston Park

Alvaston Parks most prominent feature is its lake, which provides a home for a large number of swans and other wildlife and both native and exotic trees are to be found in the park in abundance. The park backs onto the River Derwent, where a riverside path/cycle route links both Derby City Centre in one direction and Elvaston Country Park in the other. Another route, along the filled in Derby Canal, goes to Chellaston, Swakestone, Melbourne and on into Leicestershire. Other facillities include, a childrens playground, BMX track and Skateboard park with 'Half Pipe' and ramps, and cricket and football pitches.
