Ancroft Vicars Pele: Ancroft Vicar's Pele is a 13th century defensible tower, of three storeys, with a tunnel vaulted ground floor. Entry to the fortified tower, was then only via the church, with a spiral stair giving access to the upper floors. In the 19th century, the church was heavily restored in the Romanesque style.
