UK»Scotland»Grampian»Balmedie Country Park

Balmedie Country Park: The Park is part of 9.94 miles (16 km) of extensive dunes and sandy beach stretching from Aberdeen to Newburgh. The beach is so large it does not become busy which makes it possible to find a quiet spot at any time of the year. Backed by a substantial area of sand dunes where the principal vegetation is marram grass but which also contain a range of other plants at home in this type of environment which makes it a good place to play hide and seek in. There are also wooden walkways across the sands and streams, picnic areas with barbecues, and a swing park with a fishing theme for children.
