Balquhidderock Wood: known locally as Bluebell Wood is a semi-natural broadleaved woodland of ancient origin with a rich diversity of vegetation. Its canopy consists primarily of Oak, Ash, Alder, and Sycamore, and the site supports a wide range of other trees and woodland shrubs., rich in wildlife. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Local Nature Reserve. A walk in spring and early summer will reward you with the sight of the woodland floor carpeted with Bluebells.
