The sheltered water and margins are also home to a surprising range of dragonflies and damselflies, including the distinctive brown hawker and common blue damselfly, which breed and feed here.

In Northampton. At junction of A45 and A428 on east side of Northampton take A428 towards town centre. 700 m further after junction with A4501 take left in to Midsummer Meadow car park.
