UK»England»Shropshire»Broncroft Castle

Broncroft Castle is a late 14th century stone fortified manor house. Held by the Royalists in 1642 and after the Civil War it was ordered to be slighted but restored in the mid 17th century. In 1889 James Whitaker extensively rebuilt the castle and now the two towers, one with a stair turret are only original at the bottom storeys and are now connected by a 19th century range.
