Brooklands Farm Conservation Centre: Site of DWT's headquarters in the River Cerne valley, Chalk grassland, enclosed by a carefully planted hedgerow, has been developed as a hay meadow to reverse the impact of fertilisers, now colonised by typical Dorset downland flowers. A shallow pond was excavated in 1996 &, apart from the introduction of a few plants, allowed to develop naturally.
