Broughton Castle: The original medieval manor house, of which much remains today, It stands on an island site surrounded by a three acre moat. it is embellished with magnificent plaster ceilings, splendid panelling and fine fireplaces.

Arms and armour of the Civil War period and from other periods are displayed in the Great Hall. Visitors may also see the gatehouse, gardens and park together with the nearby 14th century parish church of St Mary, in which there are many family tombs, memorials and hatchments.

Car

Banbury is on the M40, Enter Banbury and at Banbury Cross take the B4035 west signposted to Shipston on Stour then, after about two miles, turn right in Broughton village at the crossroads by the Saye & Sele Arms pub and follow the signposts to Broughton Castle.
