Bushey Museum: The Museum tells the story of Bushey and its unique artistic history. It has a large collection of works and articles relating to Sir Hubert von Herkomer RA and his world-renowned Art School.


Busheys social history is shown through displays on life in the village both in time of peace and war, some of the many locally made products and historic maps.

How to get here

Car

M25 from the West

Leave the M25 at Junction 19. From the large roundabout at the end of the spur road from Junction 19, take the A41 towards London. Continue on the A41 for about 21/2 miles and at the second roundabout turn right onto the B462 towards Bushey. After about half-a-mile or so, turn left at a large roundabout and into a tree-lined avenue. Turn right at the top of The Avenue. After 200 metres cross a mini-roundabout and then take the second right into Rudolph Road.
The Museum is the large building on the left after the long row of houses. Drive into the car park entrance by the side of the Museum. Rudolph Road is one-way.

From Watford

Coming up the main road towards Bushey Village, you pass the modern Catholic church on your right and approach the beginning of Bushey High Street. Take the first turning on the left, Falconer Road, before entering Bushey High Street. Drive to the lower end of Falconer Road and turn right at the mini-roundabout. Then take the second right into Rudolph Road. The Museum is the large building on the left after the long row of houses. Drive into the car park entrance by the side of the Museum. Rudolph Road is one-way.

From Northwood

Drive towards Watford along Watford Road, into Sandy Lane, along Hamper Mill Lane and into Eastbury Road until you reach Bushey Arches. Here, turn right under the Arches towards Bushey, keeping in the middle lane as you approach traffic lights.Driving up the hill towards Bushey Village, you pass the modern Catholic church on your right and approach the beginning of Bushey High Street.
Take the first turning on the left, Falconer Road, before entering Bushey High Street.

M25 From the East

Leave the M25 at Junction 21 and take the M1 South. After just over 2 miles leave the M1 at Junction 5 and take the A41 South. After about 500 metres turn right at the large roundabout onto the B462 towards Bushey.
After about half-a-mile or so, turn left at another large roundabout and into a tree-lined avenue. Turn right at the top of The Avenue and after 200 metres cross a mini-roundabout. Then take the second right into Rudolph Road.
