Cambourne: The wildlife trust has been involved in showing just how a combination of newly created green spaces and existing wildlife habitats can be accommodated to help to enhance new villages. The 148 acres of grassland have been sown with a specially created mix of wildflower seeds and are alive with butterflies and other insects in the summer. Great crested newts and brilliantly coloured dragonflies inhabit in the ponds, while badgers have made their home in the woodland. All paths are wide and flat with underlying hard surface with some gradients on the hill in the Country Park. As with all these sites please observe the Country Code.
