Riverside Foot and Cycle Bridge

Cambridgeshire County Council are building a major new foot and cycle bridge that will link Riverside with Chesterton in Cambridge. Works started in April 2007 and are due to take one year, with completion expected in April 2008. When it is completed, the bridge will allow better access to the Museum of Technology by foot or bike.
A section of Riverside will be closed to motor traffic from mid-June 2007, from Stanley Road to the Museum of Technology, to enable construction of the new bridge to take place safely. However, access for motor vehicles will still be maintained from River Lane, off Newmarket Road.

The museum is located one mile from the city centre. The entrance is on Riverside off River Lane off Newmarket Road.
Look for the brown Heritage signs and the chimney. There is parking on Riverside. Disabled access and parking is from Cheddars Lane off Newmarket Road.
Please note that due to the new foot and cycle bridge, Riverside is currently closed to through traffic and parking is limited.
