Cardoness Castle: A well-preserved six storey tower house of the McCullochs dating back to the 15th century. Its battlements command good views over Fleet Bay.

The hall in the tower - fine architectural features, including the splendid fireplace and wall-cupboard where the familys best silverware was displayed. There are some fine stone carvings which can be touched in the great hall

A steep path and six flights of steps lead to the castle. At the top of the hill, the ground levels out. Benches allow an opportunity to rest and enjoy the superb view and there is one interpretation board.
