Castell Aberlleiniog: Originally a Motte and Bailey built late 11th century, with only the mound remaining. In the English civil war, mid 17th century, a stone wall with archer towers was built on top, the walls are still visible. During the second world war the site was used by the home guard, and a concrete defensive structure was also erected, today the roof is missing.
