Fishing

The canal has been a popular angling venue for many years. It is well stocked with a broad range of fish and it also boasts some specimen carp and pike up to 30lbs in weight. It is always fishable, there is no closed season. Both pleasure and competition anglers can be accommodated and the venue offers very good access to those with limited mobility. The canal holds good stocks of roach, rudd, perch, common, crucian and mirror carp, bream, tench, pike and eels plus some dace and chubb.
