Chun Downs is 22ha (54 acres) of scrub land, containing two prehistoric sites; Chun Castle and Chun Quoit.


Chun Castle is an Iron Age hillfort on the summit of Chun Downs, roughly circular in plan with two impressive stone walls, each with an external ditch. Within the interior are the remains of several stone walled round houses, heavily disturbed by later activity.


Chun Quoit comprising a number of large stones set upright to support a massive horizontal capstone forming a small chamber.
