Corra Castle

Corra Castle is an early 17th century stone defensible rectangular farmhouse or stronghouse. Of two storeys and a garret, its plain walls are built on a boulder plinth. Incorporated in modern farm buildings, the east gable and part of the south wall stand to there full height. There is a tradition that Mary, Queen of Scots, slept at Corra Castle, during her flight from the Battle of Langside.
