Costume and Textile Study Centre: Their purpose is to collect, preserve and provide access to our collection of British clothing, accessories, needlecrafts and home furnishings dating from the 18th century to the present day. The collection, previously housed at Strangers' Hall, has been built up over 130 years. It reflects changing fashions, styles and technology in clothing and textiles and also the historic importance of the city of Norwich in weaving and clothing production. For the first time the entire collection of over 20,000 items is accessible to the public.
