Craster Tower is a strong rectangular stone 15th century tower, of two storeys with a vaulted basement. In the 18th century the battlements were rebuilt and a fine Georgian range added to the tower, along with a high embattled wall and a gatehouse across the road.

How to get here


Craster Tower is located west of village centre, on high ground overlooking the sea. 7 miles north-east of Alnwick on the B1340, turning east at Hocketwell and north-east onto Windyside Hill.
