The Durham Light Infantry Museum has a superb collection of uniforms, equipment, weapons, silver, photographs and battlefield relics covering the whole history of the Regiment from its formation in 1758 to the final laying-up of the Colours in 1968 in Durham Cathedral.


The DLI Museum also has an outstanding Medal Room with eight, original Victoria Crosses on show, plus over 3,000 other medals awarded to over 1,000 men who served in one of the finest County Regiments - The Durham Light Infantry.

Train

Durham Station (about half a mile from the DLI) is on the East Coast Main Line.
