Duntulm Castle

UK»Scotland»Highland»Duntulm Castle

Duntulm Castle was originally an Iron Age broch or dun, which later became a Pictish fort. In the 15th century, the MacLeods founded the stone castle on the promontory, when adding a keep protected by a ditch. In the 17th century, the MacDonalds of Sleat added the range of buildings, around the courtyard but sadly the castle is now just a ruin.
