Dysert ODea Castle : The authentically restored 15th century Dysert O'Dea castle, the stronghold of the O'Dea clan, houses the Clare Archaeology Centre.

Dysert O'Dea Castle and Archaeological Centre is known for its wealth of historical and archaeological remains. Built in 1480 the castle is now an archaeological centre with more than twenty five archaeological and historical sites.

How to get here

Car

Located at the gateway to the Burren Region, 5 kms south of Corofin, and 11 kms north of Ennis.

If approaching from Ennis (N85) take a right for Corofin (R476). After 6.gkm (4 miles) take a left at a cross roads. As you travel down this road, follow the sign posts to take a right to bring you to the centre.
