Eden Estuary Nature Reserve: It is the third oldest reserve in Scotland. The bulk of the reserve is made up of rich intertidal mud and sand flats which are home to millions of tiny plants and animals! These in turn provide food for thousands of birds. The reserve provides for recreational activities such as wildfowling, walking, birdwatching and horse-riding. The Eden Estuary Centre provide wonderful opportunities to watch waterfowl from dedicated bird hides and has educational information and display about the reserve.
