Englesea Brook Chapel: The Primitive Methodist community here was able to build a chapel in 1828, when William Salmon, farmer and maltster gave a corner of his garden as a site. The museum occupies the former Sunday School room, built in 1914 to the memory of Hugh Bourne, who started many Sunday Schools. The museum has many aims primary among them being to inspire, enthuse and promote a love of exploration and learning for all ages and to dispel any possible image of museums as dusty boring places. We have many exhibits to look out for including The First Primitive Methodist Pulpit.
