Gayton Sands

UK»England»Cheshire»Gayton Sands

Gayton Sands is best visited at high tide, from the Old Baths car park near the boathouse you can watch large flocks of wading birds driven up onto the saltmarsh. In autumn and winter there are outstanding flocks of pintails, teals, wigeons and shellducks.

Marsh harriers and barn owls are also visitors to watch out for at this beautiful reserve on the Dee Estuary.
