Glaslyn

Glaslyn: The mix of heathers, bilberry and crowberry provide cover and food for red grouse, wheatear, skylark and ring ouzel. Boggy areas of heather and rough grass with sphagnum moss, rushes and sedges are another habitat. Carnivorous plants including sundew and butterwort live in the bogs. The lake does not attract a lot of wildlife because of the low nutrient levels of the acidic water. Diving ducks like golden eye do visit in winter and one plant that survives in the lake is quillwort.
