How to get here

Car

From Ballater
East along the A93 to Dinnet; turn right to Dinnet bridge then left after crossing the river onto the B976, after three miles turn right at the Bridge and Tower of Ess into Glen Tanar, after two miles bear right at Glen Tanar House and proceed up hill, turn left to car park and continue via one way system, the cottage is just before the Estate Office on the one way system.

From Aboyne
South over the River Dee at Aboyne Bridge turn right onto the B976 to Bridge and Tower of Ess, then as above.
