Grafham Water

UK»England»Cambridgeshire»Grafham Water

Grafham Water is one of the prime bird watching sites in the county with the nature reserve surrounding the western side of the reservoir and containing ancient and plantation woodlands, grasslands and wetland habitats such as reedbeds, willow and open water. With nine miles of shoreline, and around 170 species of bird recorded each year, there is always something to see. The ancient woods also provide spring displays of bluebells and primroses and the meadows teem with life, from dragonflies and butterflies to voles and grass snakes. As with all these sites please observe the Country Code, take your litter home with you, keep dogs on a lead, where dogs are allowed, and keep to marked paths to avoid disturbing wildlife.
