This 32 acre reservoir provides fishing facilities for brown or rainbow trout from the bank or a boat - anglers are recommended to book boats.

Anglers can use the facilities at the fishing lodge which include a lounge with a drinks machine and toilets. An updated fishing report as well as information on the latest flies, tactics and catch rate can be found in the lodge.

The car parking adjacent to the lodge is restricted and reserved for disabled anglers. Other fishermen are requested to use the main car park at the entrance to the reservoir.

During 2006 Hawkridge fished well with the largest rainbow trout weighing in at 7lbs 6oz and the rod average for the season was 2.1 with a total of more than 5,000 fish caught. The best five fish limit was 16lbs 8oz.

Flydressing, inter-club matches and away events as well as casting tuition for beginners are available from Hawkridge Fly Fishing Club. Details can be found on the fishing lodge notice board.
