Legend

With its keep overlooking the picturesque market town, you might imagine that Helmsley Castle would be a quiet and tranquil place. However, there are stories of pixies dancing around the local countryside, and a grey lady, who has been seen walking across the grounds. Female staff also report unexplained cold spots on steps in the Tudor mansion house when they are locking up each evening.
