Hoghton Tower

UK»England»Lancashire»Hoghton Tower

Hoghton Tower has been the home of the de Hoghton family since the Norman Conquest. The de Hoghtons are descended directly from Harvey de Walter one of the companions of William the Conqueror.

During the guided tour of one of the finest Renaissance buildings in England you will see amongst its many rooms, the State Apartments, the Banqueting Hall, the Dolls House Collection.

Venture along underground passages and peer into the dungeons and Tudor Well House of reputedly the third most haunted house in Britain. Stroll around the gardens, along the ramparts and visit the Vaio Room (teashop) and Stables (gift shop).
