Kettles Yard

UK»England»Cambridgeshire»Cambridge»Kettles Yard

Kettles Yard was the home of Jim Ede, a former curator at the Tate Gallery, London, and his wife for 16 years. It now houses Ede's collection of art, mostly of the first half of the twentieth century, paintings and sculpture are interlaced with furniture, glass, ceramics and natural objects. Edes vision of Kettles Yard was as a place where visitors would find a home and a welcome, a refuge of peace and order of the visual arts and of music, a vision visitors would agree he has achieved.
