Little Budworth Country Park

UK»England»Cheshire»Little Budworth Country Park

Little Budworth Country Park seems to be dominated by woodland but amongst the trees there is a mosaic of lowland heath, ponds and boggy mires. Paths meandering through the tranquil woodland and open glades provide a gentle walk whatever the time of year. In spring the air is full of birdsong as the trees burst into life. The summer is a time to stroll quietly by and watch the gyratings of dragonflies around the pond. The heathland is at its best in the autumn showing off its warm colours while winter brings its own magic and a special sense of solitude. The Heathland Trail is a mile and half marked trail around the park which is mostly flat.
