Lochhill Equestrian Centre: If you are a keen rider and enjoy endurance riding, then we can offer beautiful scenic hacks with views you will never have experienced before. We have a wide variety of horses and ponies to suit all levels of riding experience. If you fancy an enjoyable hack of maybe just an hour or two we can offer some super off-road trails through the Dumfries and Galloway ans South West Scotland area, some through forestry and some through open farmland. Whatever your choice.

How to get here


From the south
Take the M6 north to Carlisle and join the A74. Leave the M74 at Gretna and follow the A75 signs for Dumfries and Stranraer. After by-passing Castle Douglas leave the A75 signed Ringford. In Ringford village turn left at the signpost for New Galloway and Laurieston (A762). Travel up the hill, past the houses on the right and first left at the concealed junction. Keep on this road for a further 1.25 miles and Lochhill is the property on the left.

From Stranraer
Follow the A75 towards Dumfries. Leave the A75 signed Ringford and thereafter follow the above mentioned directions.
