Loscombe Reserve: This small reserve consists of fields intersected by ancient hedgerows, sloping steeply down to a small stream and marshy ground. Mostly unimproved grassland. Old sunken lane at the top of the reserve.

There is a small colony of snake's head fritillaries amongst other grassland species.

Wetter areas support a wide variety of plants including southern marsh orchids.

How to get here

Car

From the A3066 (Beaminster road) towards Mangerton, head for Powerstck & turn North over the river bridge into West Milton village. Keep left & first right to Loscombe, bearing right in the village. The reserve gate entrance & car park is on the right.
