Fairytale Land has characters including Snow White, Tom Thumb, The Baker Man and Little Red Riding Hood along with Childrens Play Area. Margam Country Park has a has two large BBQ sites, each one comprising of two large BBQ trays and grills.The gardens are Grade I listed garden and landscape which have trees, shrubs and flowers, classic and modern planting, lakes and long vistas which have evolved since mediaeval times. The deer herd today roams through approximately 500 acres (200 hectares) of parkland. The herd at the present time consists of 231 fallow deer, 64 red and 34 Pere David. Walk on past the Margam Castle Play Area and head along to the Farm Trail where there is a selection of farm animals to see. Also a Childrens Farmyard Corner where people can meet rabbits, chickens, turkeys, ducks and goats. The Margam Train is a diesel powered locomotive and runs on a 24" gauge railway. The train route goes through the Margam Park historic landscape. Also the track runs alongside New Pond and over the dam.

How to get here

Car

From the South-East and South-West: the M4 motorway runs directly to Margam from London and from Heathrow (the M25/M24 from Gatwick Airport); the M5/M4 from the West Country; and the M6/M5/M50/M4 from the Midlands and the North; the M4 from West Wales.
