Moors Valley covers 750 acres in the Valley of the Moors River. At the heart of the park is the Visitor Centre, an 18th century timber barn, which houses Seasons Restaurant , The Country Shop, exhibition area and hosts music evenings throughout the year.

Just a few minutes walk from the Visitor Centre is the Adventure Play Area for older children and a special Castle and Sand Area for toddlers. From the play areas we cross the picnic area to the picturesque Moors Lake.

Moors Valley Fishing

Fishing is permitted on the west bank of the lake from. The following fish, of quality size, are regularly caught: Roach, Rudd, Tench, Pike and Dace.

Picnics and BBQs

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to Moors Valley - picnic tables are provided by Moors Lake and in the Forest picnic area, and can also be found along the Play Trail and Nature Trail.
Please note: There are no rubbish bins at Moors Valley so please come prepared to take your rubbish home. There are no undercover picnic areas at Moors Valley.

It is possible to bring your own barbeques but they can only be used on the grass picnic area between the play area and the lake or in the forest picnic area. Due to high fire risk, during the summer no BBQs will be allowed in the forest picnic area.
All BBQs now MUST be on legs at least 30cms high. Stands for small disposable BBQs are available to borrow from the Visitor Centre for a £10 cash/cheque deposit per stand. BBQs are not permitted in any other areas of the park or forest.

You must come prepared to take all your rubbish and BBQ ashes away with you as there are no bins at Moors Valley. Please be particularly careful on windy days that smoke does not bother other visitors and that there is not a risk of sparks setting light to vegetation. In a particularly dry spell use of portable bbqs in this area may be banned.
