National Museum of Rural Life: A 1950s working farm of a Georgian farmhouse, farmyard and stocked fields, complete with dairy cows and sheep. Explore the seasons from ploughing fields to sowing seeds, hay making to harvesting. The Exhibition Building has three main themes to the museum are land, tools and people with artifacts and equipment. Also a collection of tractors and combine harvesters. The land includes a period kitchen garden and decorative garden.

Car

From Glasgow:
Take the A727 to East Kilbride.

From Edinburgh:
Follow the M8 to Glasgow, turn off after Junction 6 on the A725 to East Kilbride. The Museum is clearly signposted before you reach East Kilbride.

Bus

First Bus number 31 from St Enoch Centre, Glasgow to Stewartfield Way. The Museum is 200metres from the bus stop. Journey time approximately 40 minutes.
