Nesscliffe Country Park

UK»England»Shropshire»Nesscliffe Country Park

For a trip in the countryside with scenic vistas, country walks, a little exploration, natural history studies and a picnic why not pack the car and try Nesscliffe Country Park, the home of Wild Humphrey Kynaston, often known as Shropshires Robin Hood. Within the site there is an iron age hill fort, a series of impressive quarries which supplied stone for some of Shropshire's' castles and churches, and a cave hewn into the sandstone which is said to have been the hideout of the medieval outlaw Humphrey Kynaston.
