Northfield Farm trecking centre have a wide variety of mostly home bred horses and ponies, which will suit all ages and standards, from the first timer to the more experienced rider. The rides are mostly 2 hours in length and follow the old pack horse trails to such beauty spots as Three Shires Head, the longer rides will take you to the old market village of Longnor or over the moors for lunch at the Cat and Fiddle Inn. Riders must be a minimum of 8 years of age and have a maximum weight of 18 stone.

How to get here

Car

Flash is in the Staffordshire Moorlands which lies in the Southwest corner of the Peak District National Park. Set more or less in the centre of the UK - the farm can be easily accessed from the M1 to the east or the M6 to the west.

Bus

There is a regular bus service along the A53 (Sheffield - Hanley).

Train

There are stations in Macclesfield (9 miles away) or Stoke On Trent (16 miles away). There is a local line from Manchester to Buston.
