Portelet Common: A nature reserve which is 31 hectares in area. This is home to over 125 plant species which includes Balm-leaved Figwort, Dwarf Rush and Spotted Rockrose. There are two very rare plants at this site, the Rosebay Willowherb and the Green-winged Orchid. The mammals which live at this site include Rabbits and Red Squirrels. The Bird population of this area includes the Dartford Warbler, Skylark and Cuckoo. This site is also a habitat for Green Lizards.
