Porthor Oer: A tranquil unspoilt sandy bay on the north coast of the Lleyn peninsula also known as the Whistling Sands, due to the squeaking noise the sand makes underfoot, the cliffs behind has a small waterfall that runs down the side, popular with bodyboarder and surfers due to the waves that break on large swells.
