Pulford Castle

Pulford Castle is in the village of Pulford it is located immediately to the south of St Marys Church, it is a listed ancient monument. The castle is a 12th century earthwork motte and bailey fortress and the remains are clearly visible in the surrounding countryside. This small castle defended the ancient crossing point of Pulford brook and was garrisoned in 1403.
