Ancient royal hunting grounds covering 3700 acres (1500 hectares), Radnor Forest forms a central high point within the historic county of Radnorshire in mid Wales. Larch and broadleaf plantations in the lower valleys, rising through Douglas Firs covered slopes to the large Sitka Spruce plantations along ridges and hilltops.

How to get here

Car

New Radnor: Just off the A44, is the village of New Radnor. From the centre of the village is the High Street which has Mutton Dingle leaving from the north / also rising in height. Mutton Dingle continues into the forest. Off road car parks will be visible as you travel.

Bleddfa: Entrance to forest can be reached via A488 to the west of Bleddfa.
