Ravensroost Wood: At the heart of the old royal hunting forest of Braydon, Ravensroost is a diverse reserve, which includes the largest area of semi-natural woodland in the Braydon Forest, wildflower-rich hay meadows and fields which are being restored to benefit wildlife.

The woodland is managed by coppicing and features a wealth of bird and invertebrate life. Ponds in the wood are home to many great crested newts.
