Renishaw Hall has been the family home of the Sitwells for nearly 400 years. Set in a beautiful 300 acre park, eight acres of the most important Italianate gardens in England, is a house full of treasures large and small collected over many centuries. Renishaw Hall Gardens make an excellent day out for families as well as garden, history and art enthusiasts. Spend a day with the whole family, walk, enjoy the still and moving water, long views, secret garden rooms, classical statues, overflowing borders, childrens trails, magic garden, and spectacular display of blue bells in the Spring. The Hall is a must for anyone studying the artistic milieu of the 1920s and 30s, it is a unique resource, and for those who are simply interested in the flavour of the times, and the people who have lived at and loved Renishaw, it is an atmospheric and informative collection of photographs and artefacts.
