Riverford: Guided tours are informal, informative and hands-on, with lots of touching, smelling and tasting. You usually end up with lots of seasonal samples to take home. A typical tour lasts between one and two hours, taking in vegetable fields and clover leys, and usually includes a tractor and trailer ride to our polytunnels and outlying corners of the farm, giving wonderful views over the Devon landscape. Self-guided farm walks are an alternative for returning visitors or those preferring to amble at their own pace. We have designed a walk lasting around an hour and a quarter -it will be a bit rough and ready, but will give you a good overview of the farm and of what we do. To accompany the walk, we have an audio-guide regularly updated by Guy Watson with seasonal growing news. For the more energetic, we can provide Ordnance Survey maps of longer walks in the area.
