Silverhill Wood has A mixture of mature broadleaf woodland and newly planted trees, large open meadows and ponds, the site is rapidly developing into one of the most attractive wildlife areas in the region.

Silverhill wood also boasts the views from the highest point in Nottinghamshire, definitely worth a visit. The viewpoint is marked by an impressive miners memorial statue and from here you can see Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle, the rolling hills of the Peak District and on a clear day Lincoln Cathedral.
