Stanwick Lakes is a unique countryside attraction in the heart of the Nene Valley in Northamptonshire. It is a site which really does offer something for everyone - leisure opportunities, access to attractive countryside and abundant wildlife can all be found here.

Adventure trail - Set along a loop of one of the loveliest parts of Stanwick Lakes is the Adventure Trail. Four different pieces of play equipment provide the incentive for youngsters to explore - a climbing rock (especially appeals to older children and teenagers), a rope bridge over the water, a giant tyre swing and zip wire are all waiting to be discovered.

Assault course - The full-size assault course, on the south west side of the site, is a challenge to children and adults alike - but also lots of fun.

Central adventure play ground - The unique and extensive adventure playground rises dramatically out of its landscape, yet also blends with it, being of wooden construction and surrounded by a moat. It includes waterplay, with small stream and water wheels, a large sand play area, plus a climbing tower and giant slides.

Footpaths/cycle paths - Stanwick Lakes has a network of over 7 miles of footpaths/cycle paths (wheelchair accessible). In addition to circular routes around the lakes there is a four mile linear route running from Irthlingborough towards Thrapston, providing safe off-road walking and cycling - and a means of green travel for local visitors. This former railway line can also be used by horseriders (on a permit basis).
