Table Des Marthes

Table Des Marthes: A large neolithic slab of red granite. This was excavated during 1850 and it was found to be supported by piles of stone and soil at either end. Also during the excavation, pottery, burnt stones and axes were found. It is thought that this may have once been part of a larger megalithic structure. There is a local custom in which important documents are signed at this stone.
