150 acres of flower rich pastures, upland heath and meadows.

Thorswood nature reserve is a diverse site and supports a range of wildlife habitats including woodland, heathland, unimproved pasture and meadows and open water. The reserve is positioned in a geologically unique area - located on areas of both acidic sandstone and calcareous limestone. This underlying geology results in the range of habitat types to be found at Thorswood.

The reserve is divided into 3 separate areas: Thorswood, Blakelow and Brown Edge.
